Chuck Berry American Music Masters Series

Chuck Berry is absolutely one of the pioneers of Rock and Roll music, and when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame holds one of their annual events I am always front and center asking to be a part of it.  I usually can get tickets to go see the American Music Masters series courtesy of the the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame folks, but this year I had no interest.  It’s not because I don’t think Berry is a true brick in the foundation of rock and roll because he truly is.  It is because he is a disgusting pig and a complete and total pervert, possible pedophile and a creep in general.  This is a performer and artist who I despise his personal antics so much that I would not want to even see him no matter the line up that supported him.

The list of who’s who at last nights gala event included the likes of Ernie Isley, Darryl DMC McDaniels, Joe Bonamassa, Rick Derringer, Rosie Flores (how a woman could support this pig is beyond me, kind of like a woman voting for Romney), John Fullbright, David Johansen, Ronnie Hawkins, Steve Jordan, and Merle Haggard.  To be completely honest, the list of performers was pretty weak in comparison to other Masters events.  However, none the less there was absolutely no one on that list that would get my ass even half motivated to come see one of the biggest scumbags of rock and roll.

Essentially Chuck Berry has about 2 songs that he turns into a dozen or so hits.  To me they all sound the same with different lyrics.  So, did I miss out on some rock and roll history, yeah I am sure I did.  However I can’t support a pervert who likes to piss on women, take videos of them on the toilet, and his reported “alleged” child fetish.  Is it that hard to believe he is into kids if he is into every other freakish fetish in the world?  What was the song “Sweet Little Sixteen” about exactly?  How the Rock Hall and all these people can support such a filthy human being is beyond me.  To celebrate the music you still have to celebrate the man and doing so is to overlook his personal troubles.  Chuck Berry is a disgusting man who never should have received this type of honor.   Sure there is some freaky shit in rock and roll but why not celebrate Gary Glitter next year?
